Thugshop X

Thugshop’s tenth anniversary, one night under the Glass Dome on China Street. A dome is a hard room: every surface bounces, and the long axis pulls the eye to one point. We used that instead of fighting it.

The whole design was one colour. Red on the truss, red beams down the axis, red on the vaulted roof, and the X alone on the screen at the far end. White came in only for the drops, so when it came it meant something. Visuals and lighting ran from one clock, so the beams and the screen hit together all night.

The empty room before doors is in the gallery on purpose. That is the rig as drawn, before the crowd made it a show.
